Our Mission
The NCR Foundation is a catalyst of opportunity and change. We leverage our talents and resources to better our communities around the world. NCR is committed to giving 1% of NCR net profits back to community needs.
Areas of focus
Over the decades, the NCR Foundation has supported civic causes, health and human services, arts and culture, and education. Today our grantmaking is directed to three key areas where we believe we can have the greatest impact -- STEM education, economic development and disaster response.

Our efforts to provide opportunity in under-served communities include funding financial empowerment and inclusion opportunities, fostering job creation and training for sustainable income and supporting micro-enterprise.
Disaster Response
From natural disasters to the COVID pandemic, we step up in times of crisis.
Our impact
NCR has long been committed to serving communities, from converting our factories to build rescue boats in the 1913 Great Dayton Flood to 2021, when we provided COVID relief support and 100,000 vaccinations in India and the Philippines.

Supporting children and families impacted by the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey
In the aftermath of devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria back in February, UNICEF has been tirelessly working to provide lifesaving assistance to children and help families rebuild their lives. UNICEF’s key areas of response are water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), child protection services, health and nutrition, and education.
NCR Foundation made a $100,000 grant to UNICEF to support children and families impacted by these earthquakes.
Michael J. Nyenhuis, the President and CEO of UNICEF USA, visited a child-friendly space that UNICEF helped established in a Turkish refugee camp.

NCR Foundation partnership creates sustainable economic development in the Philippines
Advancing STEM gender gap awareness & mentorship in Argentina
In Argentina, the NCR Foundation is partnering with Chicas en Technológia (CET), a nonprofit organization that motivates, accompanies, and trains the next generation of tech-led women. The impact of this partnership is life-changing – from empowering 3,000 participants through four career planning workshops to strategically matching 50 CET mentees with NCR volunteers who are trained to become mentors so they can share their career journey and inspire young women.
NCR Foundation partnership is advancing STEM education in Serbia
NCR Foundation and Year Up creating job access in the U.S.
The Atlanta-based NCR team has partnered with Year Up, a nonprofit organization that focuses on ensuring young adults gain equitable access to career and skills training, since 2018. In 2022, the NCR Foundation funded a project that will empower more than 300 Year Up students to take the next steps in their educational and career journeys across the U.S. state of Georgia.
